Dr Agostinis is a registered practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC reg n PYL01708). He is Chartered and has achieved Associate Fellowship status with the British Psychological Society (BPS reg n 096782) and served as an Executive Committee Member of the British Psychological Society North East of England Branch between 2006 and 2008. He is also a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology, features on the Expert Witnesses Directory and the Register for Applied Psychology Supervisors within the Society. All his professional training and CPD took place in the UK.
He regularly offers input to professionals, organisations, UK Government agencies and VIPs, including working with interpreters and in his mother tongue (Italian), in the Channel Islands, UK and beyond.
He has provided consultation and specialist input to a number of expert panels including large UK Corporate and Government Agencies, offering a bespoke and extremely confidential service.
Dr Agostinis trained, practiced and continue to do so (assessment, therapy, consultation, evaluation) with adults and groups presenting with a wide range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anger, chronic conditions, stress, and several others. He utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based approaches and also an evidence-based, Mindfulness-based evolution of this called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He further offers teaching, training and supervision on all of these, as well as specific Mindfulness interventions for stress, anger and long-term conditions (e.g. chronic pain, chronic fatigue, work burnout).
